Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms in relate to process of life transitions, relational problems, emotional difficulties, and work-life balance issues.
When appropriate, telemedicine (video) appointments are available to existing clients. Video appointments allow for more convenient meetings for those who would not derive additional benefit from in-person meetings. The client must sign the consent form prior to telephone visit and have access to a private space and appropriate technology for this type of appointment.
When undergoing medication adjustments, we will need to meet more frequently. When medication regimens are stable, the appointments may be spaced out to every 1-3 months. Psychiatric medications can be used alone or in conjunction with psychotherapy to treat many conditions.
